Nokia 5100 review

Nokia 5100 cell phone

A great phone we had the chance to review is the Nokia 5100, a phone that was designed to revolutionize this year's market. Unveiled around 01/1/2004 the 5100 works under the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Being of size 108.5 x 49.5 x 22 mm and having a weight of only 104 g, this phone is just the perfect size. This cell phone comes with a 720 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 5.00 hours and lets in standby mode about 240 hours. Its creators incorporated a 725 KB memory, enough for a regular use! An attractive option of the Nokia 5100 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The large screen lets installation of wallpapers of 128 x 128 px.

Nokia has equipped its 5100 with a 4 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones. The game collection included in the Nokia 5100 runs on J2ME, supporting fun little games! Unsurprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the 5100 has support for both SMS and EMS. You also have MMS messages enabled to send all multimedia files! The calendar available is very intuitive and Nokia provided a phone book enabling a contact list of 300.

The predictive text system is based on the T9 technology, which is renowned as a good tool. This cell phone uses the GPRS (Class 6) technology. The 5100 comes with an infrared port for data transfer. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to exchange data between both systems. We finish by believing the Nokia 5100 to be a fantastic cell phone and we happily suggest it to anyone interested in a good phone!
